Privacy notice
Your information, handled with care.
How Global Stone uses the personal information you share through this website, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who we are
This website is run by Global Stone, 33 Delson Circle, Somerset West Business Park, Somerset West, 7130, South Africa. For any privacy question or request, email info@globalstone.co.za or call 021 851 9779.
What we collect, and why
Enquiries. When you send an enquiry, we receive the details you enter (such as your name, email address, phone number, company and message) and any product codes from your specification list. We use them only to answer your enquiry and to follow up on it. The form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, an email-forwarding service.
Website statistics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and which device and browser they use. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it for advertising. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on (opens in a new tab).
Your specification list. Colourways you save to your specification list are kept only in your own browser. They are not sent to us unless you include them in an enquiry.
Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, whose servers keep short-term technical logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Sharing and keeping your information
We do not sell your personal information or share it for marketing. It is processed only by the service providers named above, some of which store data outside South Africa under their own privacy and security commitments. We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to deal with your request and our ongoing business with you.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Email info@globalstone.co.za and we will respond. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za (opens in a new tab).
